Installation Safety
KitzeyBee floating shelves must be installed by an adult (18+). These shelves are designed to be mounted into wall studs, not drywall alone or anchors, to ensure they stay securely in place. Improper installation can result in the shelf detaching from the wall.
Once installed, shelves should be treated as fixed wall décor, not as a step, ladder, or climbing surface for children.
Choking Hazard Warning
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD. Packaging includes small plastic parts (such as mounting hardware and protective packaging components) that are not intended for children and pose a choking hazard. Keep all packaging materials, screws, anchors, and small parts out of reach of children during and after installation.
Product Safety Status
Our products have not yet undergone formal third-party safety certification (such as ASTM F963 or CPSIA testing). That said, we source only non-toxic materials and finishes for every KitzeyBee product. We recommend adult supervision when children are near installed shelving, and we encourage parents and caregivers to use their own judgment about what's appropriate for their child's age and home environment.
General Care & Supervision
Regularly check that shelves remain securely mounted, especially in high-traffic children's spaces. Discontinue use if you notice any looseness, cracking, or damage to the shelf or its mounting hardware.
