Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to shop at KitzeyBee, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, or other assistive tools. We're working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we keep improving the site as we find things to fix.
What we've done so far
- Added descriptive alt text to our product photos and other key images
- Added pause buttons to the rotating announcement bar and to background video
- Set the site to respect your device's "reduce motion" setting
- Labeled star ratings and other icons so screen readers can read them
- Built on a theme with a skip-to-content link and visible keyboard focus outlines
Known limitations
We're still working through the site, so you may run into a page or image we haven't fixed yet. Some parts of the experience also come from other providers, and we can't fully control their accessibility. That includes embedded videos, like our YouTube assembly video, and Shopify's checkout and customer account pages.
